How do I enter the Beauties of America Pageant?
The process begins with filling out and submitting the online application.  If you are chosen as a delegate you will be notified via email. Your entry deposit needs to be received within 7 days of notification. Once your deposit is received your confirmation letter will be sent via email. Once you are paid in full you will receive your Contestant Manual via email.

What is the entry fee?
Entry fee is $500.00 (payment options available).  It helps cover some of the expenses involved in producing this pageant. Payments can be made by PayPal, Credit Card, Square or Money Order made payable to Diverse Dreams, LLC or Beauties of America.  No personal, business or company checks are allowed.

Is my hotel room included in the entry fee?
No, your entry fee does not include your hotel room.

When do I receive a sash?
This year the pageant is an at large competition, no sashes will be used.

What is the deadline date to enter the Beauties of America Pageant?
September 20, 2018 is the entry deadline.  Keep in mind your entry fee must be paid in full by September 30, 2018 so enter ASAP!  All required and optional paper work and optional ad fees are also due by this date.

What age categories are there?
Age categories are 60s, 50s, 40s, 30s, 20s, Teen, Jr. Teen, Pre-Teen, Princess and Little Princess.

Is marital status important?
20s, 30s, 40s, 50s & 60s delegates may be single, married, widowed or divorced and may or may not have children.  Little Princess thru Teen delegates must be single, never married, never pregnant.

Are any entry fee discounts offered?
Entry fee discounts are not offered.

What does my entry fee cover?

Is my entry fee refundable? 
Due to pre-pageant cost, your entry fee is nonrefundable.

Who pays my entry fee?
You may pay your own entry fee, or seek sponsors to assist you.

What are my payment options?
$250.00 deposit (mandatory)
2 payments of $125.00 – being paid in full by September 30, 2018
Delegates must be paid in full by September 30, 2018. Delegates can pay by credit card, Money Order, Square or PayPal.  NO personal, business or company checks allowed.

If I do not compete in the pageant after entering and paying fees, can I receive a refund?
The Beauties of America pageant will not refund any fees paid to participate in the national pageant. This includes, but is not limited to, entry fees, ad page fees, tickets purchased, etc.

Is my entry fee transferable to a subsequent year if I decide not to compete for any reason?
Due to pageant and production expenses your entry fee is nontransferable.

Will you assign a roommate to me?
No, we will not assign a roommate to you since you are responsible for your room fee.

Is there a mandatory ad page for the digital program magazine?
No, ad pages are not mandatory but encouraged.  The full color, full page ads sell for $200.00 each.  Ad pages can be valuable tools to help you recruit sponsors.  These pages may be laid out however you like within design specifications.  They should include your name and a photo of you with sponsors information or wording of your choice (subject to approval).  The Digital Program Magazine is a full color publication; therefore, all ads must be full color.

Is there a minimum mandatory ticket sales quota?
There is no mandatory ticket sales quota.  However, the more people you have in the audience cheering you on the better you feel on stage!  Tickets are $35.00, general admission and include a program magazine.  All tickets must be purchased on line.  You will be notified once tickets go on sale.  All attendees must purchase a ticket, regardless of age.

How many judges will judge my division?
There are five to seven judges on the judging panel and they will judge all phases of the competition.

Will we know who the judges are prior to competition?
Delegates will not know who the judges are prior to competition.

What are judges told to look for in a national queen?
Delegates will be judged on attitude, poise, personality, appearance and beauty.  Beauties of America titleholders must be articulate and possess inner as well as outer beauty.  They must have a sense of confidence and purpose, and be able to communicate effectively while being able to manage the responsibility of being a Beauties of America titleholder.

What are some of the duties of the national queens?
• Titleholders are required to make at least one (1) appearance per month. Princess thru Teen titleholders are required to make at least six (6) appearances per year (one every other month).
• Promoting the Beauties of America Pageant and the motto of ‘Celebrating Beauty and Achievement at Every Age.’
• Serving as a role model.
• Representing charitable causes and working on public service projects.
• Making appearances at a variety of events, banquets, hospitals, trade shows, benefits, retail   outlets, etc.
• Working with the national office and its sponsors; appearing in advertising and promotional campaigns and activities.
• Cooperating with, and working under the direction of the National Director and pageant staff.
• Returning to the following pageant (at your own travel expense) to crown your successor.

What if I do not make the required number of appearances?
Making appearances is an essential part of being a Beauties of America titleholder.  Appearances show your support of your community, the pageant sponsors and the pageant itself.   As a Beauties of America national titleholder you sign a contract that has appearance and other requirements included.  If you do not adhere to the contract your title and prizes may be revoked.

Who owns the Beauties of America pageant?
The Beauties of America pageant is independently owned by Ella White (Ché) and is produced and directed by Diverse Dreams, LLC, located in Helotes, Texas.  The name, logo or ‘slogan’ may not be used without written permission from Diverse Dreams, LLC.
